Technology all over the world has advanced and changed peoples lives and daily routines, one thing hasn’t changed and those are textbooks in the classrooms of schools and homes of students. With universities and colleges through out the state getting more and more restricted each year the need to advance and succeed in school is essential. Imagine not being able to study because of a lack of materials and books. Miami Beach High School has been experiencing text book delays all through out campus. “The economy without a doubt is major role in this” says Gomez, Juan a Junior at MBSH. With the construction of the new facility and an on going over population, many reasons add up as to why so many classes are with textbook delays. “I find other ways to do homework and classwork and work around it ” -(vanleer). Most of the requests go on back order and teachers from then on don’t necessarily know when the books come in or if they were officially ordered. ” It’s ideal and so important to have a book a home, to study and go through my assignments” says, Ramati Amit. This issue without a doubt affects students but also teachers.

When? When are books scheduled to come in? When did teachers order them ?

Where?

Why? Why is the problem escalating? Is anything being done?

How? How are the students doing their homework with no books at home? How does this compare with textbook issues in the past years?

Other questions I’ll need to ask:

- Do teachers maximize the amount of class work because of the lack of books and not being able to have a set of books for students to use at home?.

These questions are only a guideline to get you started. Do not simply read them one after another. A good interview should sound like a conversation. Listen closely and ask questions related to the subject’s answers. If you interview someone who says she loves music, ask for more details. What type of music? Who are her favorite artists? Why?

Where?

Why? Why wasn’t this issue brought up before the school year began?

How? How are they giving out homework and class work with a lack of books? How are teachers conducting class smoothly and getting the class through with a lack of books?

When? : When will construction end for the much needed space and classrooms?

Where? : – Where will the students relocate once construction is complete?

Why? : – Why are so many kids enrolling lately?

How? : – How does the administration prepare every day for such a great amount of students every day? – How is school’s lunches distributed to so many kids at once, as more kids come? – How does the staff and janitors manage with so many kids and such a big school?
